Studio Session Featuring Monique

First Frames of 2026: A Creative Morning with Monique

My first shoot for 2026 set the tone exactly how I hoped it would, the is being creative, collaborative, and driven by experimentation. I headed into the studio for a morning session with model Monique, armed with a few concepts and an open mindset, ready to see where the energy would take us.

Also on board was Robert Lee, a stylist with years of experience within the fashion and pageantry landscape. His contribution played a major role in shaping the session. Robert arrived with a carefully curated selection of outfits and accessories, each bringing its own personality and mood. The looks gave us room to explore contrast, texture, and attitude. These inspired the lighting choices that followed.

As each look came together, I sculpted the light to complement the styling. Some setups leaned into brightness and vibrancy, emphasizing clean lines and bold presence, while others shifted into darker, moodier territory, allowing shadows and contrast to carry the emotion. The process was fluid, adjusting light, posing, and expression in response to what each look demanded.

The session was a true success, resulting in a diverse set of images that feel both energetic and introspective. Bright and vibrant frames sat comfortably alongside darker, more dramatic moments, creating a balanced body of work that reflects the collaborative effort behind the scenes.

Starting the year with a shoot like this feels like the right signal for what’s to come in 2026. Strong creative partnerships, thoughtful styling, and imagery that isn’t afraid to explore different moods definitely was a great start to the year.
